Sanpai ("the app") is a bilingual guide to Japan's shrines and temples, available as an iOS app and a web app. We designed it to work without collecting your personal data.
Data we collect
None. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of our own that receive your data.
Location
With your permission, your device location is used to show nearby shrines and temples, sort search results by distance, and check in for visit stamps. Location is processed on your device only and is never uploaded to us.
Visit stamps & settings
Your stamps, language choice, and other settings are stored locally on your device (or in your browser for the web version). Deleting the app (or clearing browser data) removes them.
Third-party services
- Geocoding: when you search by address or postal code, the search text is sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (OSMF Privacy Policy).
- Map tiles: the web version loads tiles from OpenFreeMap; the iOS app uses Apple Maps (Apple Privacy Policy).
- Images: spot photos are loaded from Wikimedia Commons (Wikimedia Privacy Policy).
These services receive standard network request information (such as your IP address) when content is loaded. We do not send them your identity, and we receive nothing back about you.

Sanpai（以下「本アプリ」）は、日本の神社仏閣を日英バイリンガルで案内するiOSアプリ／Webアプリです。個人データを収集しない設計です。
収集するデータ
ありません。アカウント登録・アクセス解析・広告はなく、利用者のデータを受け取る自社サーバーも存在しません。
位置情報
許可をいただいた場合、端末の位置情報を「近くの寺社の表示」「距離順の並べ替え」「参拝チェックイン」に使用します。位置情報は端末内でのみ処理され、私たちに送信されることはありません。
参拝スタンプ・設定
スタンプ・言語設定などは端末内（Web版はブラウザ内）にのみ保存されます。アプリの削除（またはブラウザデータの消去）で削除されます。
第三者サービス
- ジオコーディング: 住所・郵便番号で検索した場合、検索文字列が OpenStreetMap Nominatim に送信されます（OSMFプライバシーポリシー）。
- 地図タイル: Web版は OpenFreeMap、iOSアプリは Apple Maps を使用します（Appleプライバシーポリシー）。
- 画像: 寺社の写真は Wikimedia Commons から読み込まれます（Wikimediaプライバシーポリシー）。
これらのサービスは、コンテンツ読み込み時に通常の通信情報（IPアドレス等）を受信します。私たちが利用者の身元をこれらのサービスに送信することはなく、利用者に関する情報を受け取ることもありません。
